'뭔가에 이를 넣다'(get your teeth into)는 도전이 될 만한 일을 시작하거나 그런 일에 열중하려고 할 때 쓰는 표현이다.

A:I've just finished a book worth getting your teeth into.

B:What's the book about? You know I hate reading books, right?

A:The book talks about sexuality from a Christian perspective. Don't you want to get a good foundation for your life in the area of what God feels about love and sex?

B:Sounds boring to me. You could chew over what you read and make a digestible version of it for me, if that's worth it.

A:한번 열중해 읽어볼 만한 책을 막 끝냈어.

B:무슨 내용이니? 나 책 읽는 것 싫어하는 거 알잖아?

A:크리스천 관점에서 보는 '성'에 관한 책이야. 사랑과 섹스에 대해 하나님이 어떻게 생각하시는지 등 삶의 좋은 기초를 쌓고 싶지 않니?

B:지루해 보이는데. 그럴 만한 가치가 있다면 책 내용을 곰곰이 되씹어 보고 내가 소화할 수 있게 요약해 줄래?
