술이 기분 좋을 정도로 취했을 경우“나는 적당히 취했다.”고 할 수 있는데 이런 경우 영어로“I'm a little tipsy.”라고 한다.“I'm a little tipsy. Let me sing a song.”하면“기분 좋을 정도로 취했어.내가 노래 한곡 부르겠다.”가 되며,“I'm a little tipsy. I think I'll drink some more.”하면“약간 취했습니다.좀 더 마실까 합니다.”가 된다.“I'm a little tipsy.”와 비슷한 표현에“I'm a bit drunk.”“I'm slightly drunk.”등이 있다.참고로“정신이 말짱하다.”고 하려면“I'm sober.”,“많이 취했다.”고 하려면“I'm very drunk.”라고 하면 된다.
