어떤 일에 익숙하지 못한 사람에게 격려조로 "일에 익숙하시게 될 겁니다.
" 라고 표현할 때 "You'll get the hang of it." 이라고 표현하면 된다.
'get the hang of it' 은 '요령을 익히다' '익숙하게 되다' 라는 뜻으로 가령 "If you practice two hours every day. you'll get the hang of it." 하면 "매일 두 시간씩 연습하시면 그 일에 익숙하시게 될 겁니다." 가 되며, "Don't be so concerned since everyone believes that you'll get the hang of it." 하면 "일에 익숙하시게 될 걸로 믿으니까 너무 걱정하지 마세요. " 가 된다.
"You'll get the hang of it." 과 비슷한 표현에 "You'll catch on." "You'll pick it up easily." "You'll get the knack of it." 등이 있다.
A:Do you know how to dance the waltz?
B:I remember my parents were good at it.
A:None of my friends have any idea how to.
B:Why not take dance lessons at the school.
A:I hate taking lessons.
B:Just try it for a couple weeks and you'll get the hang of it.
