레드햇 리눅스 6.2 발표

Red Hat 사에 6.2버전 Red Hat Linux를 정식으로 발표했다. 새로이 추가된 특징으로는 Clustering를 웹 베이스 기반의 인터페이스로 개선했으며, X-윈도우의 개선 그리고, 더욱더 향상된 Load-balancing 기능이 포함된 소프트웨어 RAID 기능이 추가되었다.

역시 프로페셔날 버전에서는 Apache가 추가 되었으며, 전자 상거래시 보안기능을 강화되었다고 한다. 이런 전자 상거래 상의 기능을 추가한 Red Hat eCos v1.3 역시 발표되었으며, 소스코드 역시 공개가 되어서 사용자 임의대로 개선이 가능하다.

현재 Red Hat 6.2 배포판의 경우는 mirror sites 에서 다운을 받을 수 있다. 정식 박스 포장이 된 리테일 버전의 경우 출시 일이 4월 11일로 예정되어 있다. 아래에 구분이 된 3가지 버전으로 판매에 들어갈 예정이라고 한다.
