흔히 사용되는 일상 생활영어 표현중에 몇가지 의미를 가진 표현으로 『That's it.』이 있다.식당에서 음식을 주문했을때 웨이터가 『Is there anything else?』(더주문하실 건가요?)라고 할 때 『That's it .』이라고 하면 『그게 전부입니다.』라는 뜻으로 이 경우 『That's it.』은『That's all.』과 같은 뜻이다.또『That's right.』과 같은 뜻으로 쓰이기도 하는데『What's the longest river in the worl d?』라고 할 때 『The Nile.』이라고 답했다면 『That's it.』(맞았어.)이라고 할 수 있다.『One false step and that's it.』이라고 하면 『한 발만 헛디디면 그것으로 끝장이다.』라는 의미로 이 경우 『That' s it.』은『That's your last chance.』의 의미다.
