'머리 위로 지나갔다(over one's head)'는 표현은 자신의 이해 범위를 넘어선다는 것을 의미합니다.over 대신에 above를 쓰기도 합니다.

A:Joey is really funny. He always makes me laugh.

B:Yeah, he often cracks jokes, but a lot of his gags go right over my head. I just don't get them.

A:Well, you take everything too seriously. That's the problem, I guess.

B:You seem to be right. His jokes sometimes make everyone but me burst out laughing.

A:조이는 정말 재미있어. 날 항상 웃긴단 말야.
