Don't keep me in suspense.
자신이 알고 싶어하는 내용을 상대방이 빨리 말해주지 않으며 호기심을 자극하는 경우 상대방에게 우리말로는 『궁금하게 만들지마세요.』라고 할 수 있다.이 경우 적절한 영어표현에 『Don't keep me in suspense.』가 있다.가 령 『궁금하게 하지 말고 시험결과가 어떻게 되었는지 말해봐.』라고 하려면 『Don't keep me in suspense,tell me how you did on the exam.』 하면 된다.『Don't keep me in suspens e.』와 비슷한 표현에 『Don't leave me in suspense.』『Don't leave me hanging.』 등이 있다.참고로 『The suspense is killing me.』라고 하면 『궁금해 죽겠어.』라는 의미로 『I'm dyi ngto know.』나 『I'm really curious.』와 같은 뜻이다.
