비에 흠뻑 젖은 사람에게 "You're soaked. (흠뻑 젖었군요)" 라고 할 수 있다.
'soak' 는 ' (비나 다른 액체로) 푹 젖게 하다' 라는 뜻으로,가령 "You're soaked! Why don't you dry yourself off?" 하면 "흠뻑 젖었군요! 몸을 닦으세요. " 가 되며, "You're soaked! You'll catch a cold!" 하면 "흠뻑 젖었네! 감기 걸리겠다. " 가 된다.
"You're soaked." 와 비슷한 표현에 "You're soaked through." "You're soaked[wet/drenched] to the skin." 등이 있다.
참고로 땀범벅이 된 권투선수에게 "Your uniform is soaked in sweat." 하면 "유니폼이 땀범벅이다. " 는 의미다.
