That's just my luck.

자신이 처한 불만스런 상황을 나타내는 말로“재수 없네.”“내 복이 그것밖에 안돼.”“내 팔자야.”라고 하는 경우가 있는데 적절한 표현에“That's just my luck.”이 있다.

가령“That's just my luck! I got to the bank five minutes after it closed.”하면“재수 없네! 은행 영업이 끝나고 5분후 은행에 도착했어.”라는 뜻이다.

“That's just my luck.”과 비슷한 표현에 “I'm so unlucky.”“How unlucky I am!”등이 있다.

A:This photocopier won't work!

B:I know.It broke down this

morning.

A:That's just my luck.

B:Why? What's wrong?

A:I need to make some copies for the meeting this afternoon.

B:Perhaps you could run down to the copiers?

A:이 복사기가 전혀 작동이 안되네!

B:나도 알아.오늘 아침에 고장났어.

A:재수 없네.

B:왜? 왜 그래?

A:오늘 오후 회의 때문에 복사 좀 해야 돼.

B:복사점에 가볼 수 있지 않니?
