아주 쉬운 일을 '식은 죽 먹기' 라고 하는데 영어로는 'a piece of cake' 이다.

어떤 일이 아주 쉬울 때 "What a piece of cake!" 또는 "It's a piece of cake." 이라고 말한다.

예컨대 어제 치른 시험이 아주 쉬웠다면 "That exam was a piece of cake!" (그 시험은 아주 쉬웠어요.)이라고 표현한다.

'standing on one's head' 라는 표현도 가능하다.

"A genius like you can solve that problem standing on your head!" (너같은 천재는 그 문제를 아주 쉽게 풀 수 있다.)라고 말한다.

뭔가 단순하고 복잡하지 않은 일을 언급할 때는 'no-brainer' 라는 표현을 사용한다.

"This homework is a no-brainer.I'll be done in five minutes." (이 숙제는 아주 간단해서 5분이면 끝마칠 수 있다.), "Susan loves to garden on the weekends because it's a no-brainer compared to her job." (수전은 주말이면 항상 정원 가꾸는 일을 즐겨한다. 왜냐하면 정원 가꾸기는 그녀의 일에 비해 아주 단순한 일이기 때문이다.)

A:Hey, how's it going?

B:Not so good.

A:What's the problem?

B:I feel so stressed.I have to give a presentation on the new sales campaign tomorrow. I'm trying my best, but I think I'm in over my head.It's difficult to find possible solutions to sales problems.

A:Hey, relax.You look terrible.Why don't you get some ideas from your colleagues? Don't worry about it.It'll be a piece of cake if you discuss with them.

A:안녕, 어떠니?

B:별로 좋지 않아.

A:무슨 일 있니?

B:스트레스를 심하게 받고 있어. 내일 새로운 판매 캠페인에 대해 발표를 해야 해. 최선을 다하고 있지만 나한테는 너무 어려운 일인 것 같아. 판매 문제에 대한 가능한 해결책을 생각해 내는 것이 어려워.

A:편안하게 생각해. 너무 힘들어 보인다. 너희 동료들에게서 아이디어를 좀 얻는 게 어때? 너무 걱정하지마. 너희 동료들과 의논하면 아주 쉬울 거야.
